INTERESTING FACT/ Castro will forever be a subject debate, and gained many supporters and critics during his time as leader of Cuba. Supporters view him as successfully implementing socialism and anti-imperialism (detachment from America) in Cuba, with a revolution that helped establish economic and social stability. Critics, however, view him as a dictator, who disregarded human rights, and his rule resulted in many Cuban's seeking exile and refuge in the United States. Castro also achieved many accolades through his ongoing relationships with many nations during his rule, becoming very popular with Indonesia, Soviet Union, Vietnam, North Korea and in Cuba itself.
WHO/ Ernest 'Che' Guevara, an Argentinian Marxist revolutionary, physician, author, guerrilla leader, diplomat, and military theorist, who is remembered for his important role during the successful Cuban Revolution alongside Fidel Castro.

WHERE/ Born in Rosario, Santa Fe province, Argentina. Died in La Higuera, Vallegrande, Bolivia, as a result of a failed revolution attempt, Guevara was captured and later executed by Bolivian soldiers who were supported by the American C.I.A. Guevara's body was laid to rest at Santa Clara, Cuba.
INTERESTING FACT/ Guevara was responsible for the creation of 'Guerilla Warfare', this involved hit and run tactics such as sabotage, ambush, and stealth to achieve victory, and was carried out by non-uniformed soldiers, making it hard to determine who was involved in such crimes. After the success of the Cuban Revolution and the policies that followed, Guevara became intent on assisting revolutions abroad, in both Congo-Kinshasa and Bolivia, which led to his death by execution. Guevara has become the face of rebellion, a counterculture icon that is still used today.
The Cuban Revolution would implement a communist rule, with Fidel Castro and Che Guevara leading the 26th of July Movement
